Description
Adamax is a synthetic peptide analogue in the Semax structural series. It is based on N-acetyl Semax, which combines the ACTH(4-7) fragment with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro glyproline extension and an N-terminal acetyl group, with an adamantyl (tricyclodecane) group at the C-terminus.
Adamantane is a rigid, highly lipophilic cage hydrocarbon used in medicinal chemistry to increase lipophilicity and shield adjacent functional groups from metabolic cleavage. This material is supplied as a characterized reference compound for non-clinical laboratory work, such as analytical method development for modified peptides, comparative proteolytic and thermal stability studies against the unmodified sequence, and in vitro physicochemical characterization including lipophilicity determination.
