Description
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is a synthetic 11-amino acid peptide derived from the helix B region of erythropoietin (EPO). It has an N-terminal pyroglutamate.
In published literature, ARA-290 has been characterized as a ligand of the heteromeric receptor formed by the EPO receptor and the β-common receptor (CD131), sometimes called the innate repair receptor. It has been reported not to activate the homodimeric EPO receptor. This material is supplied as a characterized reference compound for non-clinical laboratory work, such as analytical method development, receptor binding assays, and comparative in vitro studies of EPO-derived peptides.
