Description
N-Acetyl Semax Amidate is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of Semax, which is itself based on the ACTH(4-7) fragment with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro glyproline extension. This analogue carries an N-terminal acetyl group and a C-terminal amide in place of the free carboxylic acid. Both terminal modifications are standard approaches to reducing susceptibility to exopeptidase degradation.
This material is supplied as a characterized reference compound for non-clinical laboratory work, such as analytical method development for short peptides, comparative proteolytic stability studies against the unmodified sequence, and in vitro studies of ACTH-fragment and glyproline peptides.
